A bit of history
Although the Beach Shack has only been open since April 2002, it is already well-known as one of the friendliest hostels around. The Beach Shack has enjoyed a very positive reaction from all of it's guests since we opened - a quick flick through the Comments Book on our front desk will prove that. There are numerous appearances of "Best Hostel in Oz" and "I don't want to leave!".

Activities
There are a large variety of activites in the area - ranging from white water rafting on the mighty Tully River, to skydiving, sea kayaking, outer Barrier Reef tours, wreck diving, croc spotting or jet-skiing around Dunk Island! Or if the idea of all that adrenalin doesn't sound like you're style, then there's always the 14km of un-spoilt beach to relax on...
